1929 JJ Hopkinson Traditional Overstrung Upright Piano

A solid, handbuilt British instrument by a highly regarded manufacturer. This instrument has a soft, mellow, pure rounded tone and perfect tuning stability. In the sound department Hopkinson score high, as they carry presence and broader volume due to the large soundboard and long strings. The original ivory keys have a slight yellow taint, but are nonetheless in excellent condition, with no chips. They are nicely balanced, responsive, weighted and flush. The casing has no cracks or damage and is in its original form, unrestored, with some minor wear, but a normal amount for its age. We can restore to new standard for an additonal cost, but as it stands, is in good overall condition. I consider this Hopkinson to be a players piano, for someone looking for pure and pleasing sounds, as it has a superior tone to that of many brand new acoustic pianos. Ideal for the beginner or well seasoned professional.
