1940's Hopkinson Overstrung Traditional Upright Piano

A solid, hand built quality overstrung with beautiful recently French Polished Burr Walnut veneered case. The original ivory keys are in perfect condition, indicative of being kept in a steady, caring climate throughout its life. A tall instrument with large soundboard, long strings, cast iron frame, and internal underdamping. The tone is mellow and the keys are nicely weighted, with a light to medium responsive touch. Ideal for learning on and a good looking piano due to the high quality woods used in its build; Burr Walnut being one of the finest veneers you can have on a piano.

We have restored the casing and buffed the keys, along with brass trimmings, so the instrument is now looking and sounding its best. Hopkinson are a very good make, and score well in the sound department.
