1930's Rebuilt Chappell Overstrung British Upright Piano

A tall medium to dark brown mahogany overstrung traditional upright piano with full, clear rounded tone and responsive light touch. Chappell have an excellent reputation for building high quality pianos that can withstand humidity and climate change. This Chappell is a nice instrument to play, boasting a fully rebuilt and newly reconditioned internal action. In the previous rebuild the piano was fitted with new hammers, tapes, keybed and action felts, springs and check felts, so it plays like new and has a reliable mechanism to see its new owner through a lifetime of play. The sound quality is excellent, full, rounded and pure tone, rich and even throughout, with a velvety bass, strong and clear to the last note. The mid and high range are clean, thin and even also, a consistent tone as you move up through the octaves. The casing is in good clean condition, with some minor wear commensurate with age, but overall very solid and strong, with renewed brass trimmings, shapely brass pedals, cast iron frame, internal underdamping, new nameboard felt and tall slender cabinet. Ideal for all levels of player, from beginner to advanced.
