1935 (5'1") Chappell (London) Baby Grand Piano

Solid British built Chappell, comparable in quality to a Bluthner and Bechstein, rich sounding, mellow, dynamic, and ideal for the seasoned player who enjoys a light responsive touch. This Chappell is one of the best sounding instruments available and its original ivory keyboard are perfectly flush, with nicely balanced keys that feel good under the fingers. The tone is very pure, mellow, and even throughout the range, with stable Concert Pitch and large soundboard providing significant volume and presence for its neat size. The soundboard and crown are like new, as are the bridges, plate and wrest plank. The piano was tuned twice a year all its life and is in mechanically perfect condition, with regulated action and refinished Rosewood casing. 

Cast iron frame, overstrung, refinished brass throughout, refinished castors, top lid and music stand were stripped and rebuilt to new standard, sides of piano are original and in excellent condition, keyboard lid is original, keys sanded and buffed - very smooth, flush, and with good grip, gate legs - six wheels altogether, ornate music stand taken from a Bechstein and refinished to new, effective brass pedals, tuned and ready to play.

One of the best looking and sounding instruments you will ever play. Comes with restored adjustable period stool that is beautifully sculptured and like new.
