Berdux

A large and imposing German Berdux Grand Concert  upright overstrung piano with powerful rounded tone and commanding presence. A beautiful instrument to play and listen to. The tenor is strong and the bass is potent, right down to the last note. The mid range has a pure even tone and the high range is clear, not too bright and resonates nicely. Light to medium responsive touch. We have tuned and regulated the action carefully and have concluded that this Berdux is a very fine instrument. Ideal for all levels of player, from beginner to advanced.

The company was founded in 1871 by Valentin Berdux in Munich.  The factory set forth instruments as well as the accompanying piano tuners and is still one of the manufacturers with the most patents in the field of piano action. This mainly go back to Valentin Berdux from which it is said that he developed tirelessly piano technical improvement ideas. Therefore, many Berdux instruments were characterized by technical innovations and features. There were about wings with a double soundboard or particularly compact pianos, their sub-action mechanism was clearly maintainable by a sophisticated design than the usual type. They rank alongside top make such as a Steinway or Bosendorfer.
